Men's Medium Long Layered Haircut With Curtain Bangs
Soft lift at the roots, curtain bangs that open up the face and feathered layers that flick out with every step. Sergio Slavnov cut this for a client who is growing his hair out and still wants to look put together along the way.
It’s a layered men’s haircut that falls just past the chin. The top was cut to lift from a soft, slightly off-center part, and the front was shaped into curtain pieces that sweep away from the eyes and blend into the sides. Through the sides and back, Sergio cut long, feathered layers so the ends flip outward, giving movement and shape without heavy bulk. Weight came out of the interior, so the hair stays light and the silhouette looks full rather than flat. The look is relaxed and a little nostalgic, but still current.
Sergio specializes in cuts men can actually live with during the grow-out stage. He shapes each one around the face, texture and cowlicks, so the layers fall into place on their own and men’s medium length hair keeps its shape between visits.
For the finish, he misted Avenue Man Sea Salt Volumizing Spray through damp hair, focusing on the roots and mid-lengths, then blow-dried with a round brush to build lift at the crown and flick the ends outward.
